ShopRite LPGA Classic: This professional women's event is part of the LPGA Tour. It is located in Galloway New Jersey, close to Atlantic City. Acer sponsors the event. Brooke Henderson

Brooke Henderson finished first in the field of professional golfers at the Shoprite LPGA Classic. The winner of the tournament was Brooke Henderson, 25, from Smiths Falls (Ont.). She shot 64 in the final round. Her 64-hole score was not bogey and she reached the par-5 hole at 18 holes, where she missed an eagle putt for tap-in birdie. Although it was close, Henderson's 64th round score of 64 was enough to secure her 11th career title.

Julie Inkster

In 1986, Julie Inkster won the first ShopRite LPGA Classic. This tournament is in its 26th season and one of the oldest on LPGA Tour. Since then, only Anna Nordqvist has won back-to-back LPGA Tour events. This year, Lee became the first multiple LPGA Tour winner, earning over $11 million in career earnings. Lee is the first female winner of back-to-back major championships since In Gee Chun.

Julie Boutier

Boutier took the Meijer LPGA Classic as her target and finished ninth at ShopRite LPGA Classic. Boutier was able to score a six over-par 205 in Chevron Championships. This broke her streak with three consecutive 30s. Boutier tied for 34th in the US Women's Open, with a score average of 72.5. But she was unable make it to the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. She earned $98,215 for third place. For the next five years, her metrics will be impressive.


Mel Reid

After squandering a two-shot lead at the Portland Classic, Mel Reid has now won the Shoprite LPGA Classic. Ryan Desveaux was praised by the six-time LPGA Tour winner for his comeback. The victory will be Reid's first major title since she debuted on the LPGA Tour. She is the top seed in KPMG Women's PGA Championship. This is the fourth major of the season.

Albane Valenzuela

Albane Vallenzuela is well on her path to a great finish after she has completed three rounds in 60s and 70s consecutively to reach the final round at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. Born in New York, Valenzuela is currently ranked 57th in the Race to the CME Globe, and has made five cuts this season. Despite her inconsistent play and enjoying Canada, Valenzuela, 24, is excited to be playing this weekend.

Lydia Ko

Lydia Ko has been able to jump back into contention at this year's ShopRite LPGA Classic, after she finished in the top 25, earning over $600k and finishing in the US Open's top 25. She is six shots behind leaders after her first round of 72, but she's still alive with a two under 65. This week's event takes place at the Seaview Hotel Golf Club in Long Branch.
