She is in an Alcohol Treatment Program

Former US women's soccer player Hope Solo has entered an alcohol treatment program. After an arrest on March 31, Solo was accused of driving under the influence and misdemeanor abuse of children. She is appealing for her induction in the National Soccer Hall of Fame. Her request has been delayed to 2023. She was found unconscious behind the wheel and with her twins in the backseat. According to reports Hope Solo became so drunk that she couldn't perform a field test of sobriety and follow the instructions given by the police officer. She was also charged with driving while under the influence and resisting arrest.

The arrest occurred one month after Hope Solo was initially scheduled to be inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame. Hope requested that Hope Solo's induction be delayed until 2023, so she could attend the program as well as focus on her recovery process and her family. Hope's induction date was originally scheduled for May 21, but the Hall of Fame has accepted her request for a deferment. Hope's decision has been supported by The Hall of Fame. We look forward to celebrating her at the next Induction Ceremony.
