Sylvia Fowles
Sylvia Fowles received an honorary selection at the WNBA All Star Game. She is currently playing in her final season and averages 14.9 points per game, 9.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals. Her team, the Minnesota Lynx is currently at 8-15 and 2.5 games away from the playoffs.
Fowles, a former LSU standout, dunk on a breakaway opportunity in the second quarter. Fowles was in a position to press Team Stewart’s ball-handler for an error and then took the ball and slammed into it. She finished the game with seven points and nine rebounds for Team Wilson.
Sue Bird
Sue Bird, a Chicago Bulls' guard, has been elected co-captain on the WNBA All-Star Team. Breanna Stewart and Sylvia Fowles will be joining her, which is their last WNBA season. The game will be played on Sunday, July 10, at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. It will be televised on ABC.

Arike Ogunbowale
Arike Ogunbowale was a two-time NCAA Champion and has now been named her first WNBA All-Star. She was the Dallas Wings' leading scorer in last season's league and now ranks eighth in points/game. She is expected to play an important role in Team USA's preparations at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
The WNBA All-Star Game will be held in Chicago July 9-10. The Saturday night event will include a skills contest and a three point contest. Ogunbowale wants to be a part in the next All-Star game. Team USA won the previous All-Star match.
Kelsey Plum
Kelsey Plum, Aces guard, scored 30 against Team Stewart in her debut WNBA All Star Game. Despite being petite in stature Plum was named the WNBA All Star Game Champion. Her MVP trophy, however was dwarfed only by the All-Star MVP trophy from the NBA's Kobe Bryant. Cathy Engelbert, WNBA commissioner brought some humor to this event and presented Plum a new trophy at the end of the game.
Plum stated that she was looking to win MVP. During the game, she made 12 field goals and took 18 shots, setting an All-Star record. She is currently averaging 19.9 points per game. She is currently playing in the WNBA All Star Game and representing the United States at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in 3x3 basketball.

Arike Ogunbowale won the MVP award
Arike Ogunbowale was named MVP of the WNBA All-Star Game. The guard from Dallas played college basketball at Notre Dame. She was the fifth overall pick at the WNBA draft. Her mother, Vanessa Bryant, was a fan of the player. The award is extra special because her family voted for it.
The 2021 WNBA WNBA All-Star game witnessed many changes, but it is still an all-star tournament. Ogunbowale was the only WNBA player who won MVP honors. She beat Team USA by 93 to 85. Ogunbowale is also expected to get an opportunity to repeat the feat in two years, as she was named as a reserve for the 2022 WNBA All-Star Game. The game will be held in Chicago, and will be broadcast on ABC.
