Breanna Stewart, a Seattle Storm guard has won the WNBA Finals MVP trophy. The 24-year-old led her team to the title by averaging 28.3 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Her play was instrumental in the Storm's 2020 league title win. With champagne in hand, she showed her MVP award. She also wore her celebratory goggles, and threw green and gold confetti at Seattle Storm general manager Sue Bird.


A two-time WNBA MVP, Stewart led the Storm to their second championship in less than two years. With 37 points and 15 rebounds, Stewart had an outstanding Game 1 performance. She was the first player to average at least 35 points in the Finals. She finished the series scoring an average of 28.3 point and shooting 65 percent from the court. Stewart is also considered for the Hall of Fame.

Phoenix Sun's Diana Taurasi wins first WNBA title

Diana Taurasi, a former NBA player, is now the leading scorer for the WNBA. She has won the MVP award, three WNBA champions and three WNBA league championships. She is also the proud owner of four Olympic gold medals, five WNBA scoring titles and five WNBA scoring title. She has also won three NCAA championships at the University of Connecticut. She also won six Euroleague championships overseas.

Diana Taurasi has become the most decorated WNBA player since winning her first championship. This win also marked the start of a long and successful career for the 22year-old. Taurasi is the Western Conference's inaugural player to win a championship. She will be joining the league's Hall of Fame for 2020.

Seattle Storm's Sue Bird leads Seattle towards victory

Sue Bird leads the Seattle Storm towards their first WNBA Championship. The Storm won the Western Conference standings with a record of 26-8. Bird, a 2001 top pick, led the team. The Storm's offense efficiency and quickness allowed them to dominate the Washington Mystics at the perimeter. The Storm shot 13 of 26 from three-point range, outscoring the Mystics 21 points. The Mystics managed only 8 out 23 from behind arc in Game 3, and the series ended with a record score of 11 for 60.

Bird was the main star for the Storm during the playoffs. She came up big in Game 5 against Phoenix Mercury. Bird, who was wearing a mask from a broken nose, scored just 10 points. The Mercury then drained their clutch jumpers.
