While there were rumors of expansion, no concrete plans have been made. It is likely that the league will stay as it is. Real Salt Lake, Indy Eleven and three California men's teams have expressed interest in joining this league. The league is open for new teams but there was no announcement of expansion for 2016.

Its players association

The Players Association is a New York-based recording studio group. Chris Hills and Danny Weiss had previously worked on the legendary fusion project The Grateful Dead, and their debut album for Vanguard Records in 1977 was an instant classic. The group's sound was both raw and sophisticated, and their songs were based on the complexities of human nature and the beauty of everyday life. Their music was very influential, but their style wasn't without controversy.

Players Association supported The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by staging the Ultimate Breakaway Weekend. Olympic athletes, Lance Armstrong, and the United States Women's National Team all joined them at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, and musicians Sheryl Crow and Anthony LaPaglia joined the Players Association for an exhibition with area youth soccer players at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In addition to the musicians, the Players Association also held a benefit concert for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the American Cancer Society in support of the players.
