Brooke Henderson

Brooke Henderson won the Shoprite LPGA Classic. The tournament was won by Brooke Henderson, 25, a Smiths Falls, Ont. native. She shot a final round of 64. Her bogey-free score of 64 helped her reach the par-5 18th hole, where she lagged an eagle putt into tap-in birdie range. It had been close before but Henderson's final round 64 was enough for her to reach the playoff and win her 11th career title.

Julie Inkster won her first ShopRite LPGA Classic in 1986. This tournament is in its 26th season and one of the oldest on LPGA Tour. Since then, only Anna Nordqvist has won back-to-back LPGA Tour events. Lee became the first LPGA Tour multi-winner this year and made over $11million in career earnings. Lee is now the first woman since In Gee Chun ever to win two consecutive major championships.

Julie Boutier

Boutier was ninth at ShopRite LPGA Classic and jumped in to the hunt for the Meijer LPGA Classic top spot. Boutier managed a six-under 205 in Chevron Championships. She broke her string of three consecutive 30s. Boutier also finished tied for 34th at the US Women's Open with a scoring average of 72.5. But she was unable make it to the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. She earned $98,215 for third place. She still has impressive metrics for the next five-years.


Mel Reid

Mel Reid, who lost a lead of two shots at the Portland Classic has won the Shoprite LPGA Classic. Six-time LPGA Tour winner Mel Reid praised Ryan Desveaux, her caddy, for her comeback in the final round. Reid's first major championship title since her debut on LPGA Tour will be this victory. She is a top seed at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship.

Albane Valenzuela

AlbaneValenzuela has logged three rounds consecutively in the 60s, 70s and reached the final round of ShopRite LPGA Classic. She is well on her road to a breakthrough finish. Valenzuela, who was born in New York, is currently ranked at 57th in Race to the CME Globe and has made five cuts so far this season. Despite her inconsistent play and enjoying Canada, Valenzuela, 24, is excited to be playing this weekend.

Lydia Ko

Lydia Ko is back in contention at the ShopRite LPGA Classic after finishing in the top 25 of the US Open. The Australian is six shots back of the leaders after her first round, which was 71. But she's still in contention with a 2-under 65. This week's event takes place at the Seaview Hotel Golf Club in Long Branch.
