She mentors the next generation in women coaches

Jill Ellis started a mentoring programme for the next generation in women's soccer coaching. She is also the president and founder of the San Diego Wave FC franchise. This team is the newest in NWSL. She will share her knowledge and insight on how to build a community and motivate people to work together towards a common goal.

Ellis has been hard at work over the past year in developing the program, and soliciting donations. The money Ellis raises will be used to help promising women coaches, who might otherwise not have the funds to pay for expensive licensing programs. The mentors assigned to the women will give advice and build their professional networks. It is anticipated that the program will sponsor around three dozen women within its first year.

She wants to hire a female head coach

Jill Ellis was a former United States women's football coach. She wants more women to be in leadership positions in pro-sports. She has been offered several coaching positions and hopes to see more women in leadership roles in pro sports. She has created a program that will provide mentorship and financial assistance to women who want to become head coaches. These mentors can provide guidance and help you build your professional network.

Jill Ellis hailed from a country where women couldn't play competitive soccer. Margaret Ellis, Margaret's mother, opposed her daughter's participation. It was considered unladylike at the time to play soccer. As a teenager she moved to Virginia where she learned to play soccer.
