Hope Solo pleads guilty at driving while under the influence
Hope Solo, a U.S. soccer player, pleaded guilty for driving while intoxicated. A judge in Forsyth County gave the 23-year-old suspended sentences, an active sentence of 30 days, and a substance abuse assessment. Solo was awarded credit for her time spent in a rehabilitation facility by the judge. The sentence includes a $2,500 penalty and the requirement for Solo to complete an assessment on substance abuse.

She was arrested in a Walmart parking lot
Hope Solo was arrested in a Walmart parking lot in Winston-Salem North Carolina. The mother-of-two was arrested for driving while impaired and resisting arrest. These charges were added to the misdemeanor child abuse. A witness spotted Hope Solo passing out in the driver's seat while she was driving, and the officers pulled her over. The incident occurred as Solo and her two children were asleep in the backseat of the car.
