
One thing you might have noticed about professional golfers is the number of female players wearing very open clothing. Paige Spiranac is one example. She was known to wear a small skirt on the golf course before the dress codes were enforced. Male golfers criticized the LPGA for shaming female players. However, today, the dress code was lifted.
Lexi Thompson
Alexis Noel Thompson (American professional golfer) plays on LPGA Tour. At age 12, she qualified for the U.S. Women's Open. She turned professional at age 15. Since then, she has qualified for many other major championships. Her June 2016 victory in the LPGA was her first.

At the age of twelve, she was the youngest woman to ever play in the US Women's Open. At sixteen years old, she had become the youngest LPGA champion and had already won her first tournament. At just 20 years old she won several LPGA tournaments. She is also considered one of world's best-fit athletes. Each day, she practices for three hours, plays 18 holes, eats lunch, and works out with a trainer. Thompson, in addition the LPGA Tour, also gives her time to charities like the Wounded Warrior Project.
Thompson was one world's most popular players in 2015. She has had a poor year in 2021. She had a five-shot lead at the US Women's Open in 2021, but failed to capitalize on it. She has won the LGPA Japan Tour in the past and the Ladies European Tour in the present. She is currently ranked 9th on the Rolex Player Rankings. She tied for 17th at the Lotte Championship and the ANA inspiration event last spring. She also missed out on a chance at winning her second major tournament at Avnet Classic LPGA.
Michelle Maguire
Leona Maguire, an Irishwoman, became the first to win the LPGA Tour's Drive On Championship in Florida. The 27-year-old finished on -18, three strokes ahead of Lexi Thompson. Maguire started out the season with five birdies and went into the final round tied with Marina Alex. She birdied the 10th through 11th holes and the 13th to take the title.
The 2020 season was mostly positive, though there were some lows in the early stages. She missed the LPGA Match-Play 16th May, but bounced back to perform at her best in the summer. Maguire said that her success can be attributed to many experiences she has had, both good and not so good. Positive experiences build confidence while negative experiences serve as reality checks.

Maguire was also a member of the 2017-18 WGCA All-American Scholars. This honor goes to student-athletes who are academically and athletically outstanding. Maguire's honors include being a captain or team MVP. She also broke Lydia Ko's record for most consecutive weeks at the top in the World Amateur rankings. She was also named honorary recipient of the ACC Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship, which recognizes exceptional student-athletes and their intention to earn a graduate degree.
