Others, such Saul "Canelo Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez, have won world titles and become icons. Mexico isn't as rich in MMA than it is in boxing. However, the country has produced some amazing fighters.
Brandon Moreno
Brandon Carrillo Moreno a professional mixed martial artist hailing from Mexico. He competes at Flyweight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He was a former Flyweight Champion, and is currently the Interim UFC Flyweight Champion. He is known for being intense and fast-paced in his fighting style.
He has been married to Shirley Moreno for over 10 years. She is always there to support him during public appearances. The couple have three daughters, Maddie born in 2014, Megan born in 2019 and Morgan born in 2021. They shared photos of their family on social networks.
Cain Velasquez
Cain Velasquez, a Mexican heavyweight, has found a new career as a professional wrestler after a successful UFC career. He has also wrestled in Mexico, and in the WWE. In December 2018, he signed with the Mexican promotion AAA. He plans to fight more this season.

Velasquez faces charges of attempted murder, multiple gun assault, and other crimes. He is being held on no bail and will appear before the court on Wednesday. Velasquez, who was involved in the shooting, was taken into police custody. The shooting left the victim with non-life-threatening injuries.
Nick Diaz
Nick Diaz, Mexican MMA fighter is a world champion. His last fight against Rob Lawler was at UFC 47. Lawler won the fight by KO in Round 2. Diaz hasn’t been in the ring since. Real Fight, Inc., his own promoter company, has been established. He is also the co-founder of Real Fight, Inc., a clothing company and a training center for jiujitsu.
In this highly anticipated fight, Diaz will make his much-awaited return into the octagon. While this may be his last fight with WME it is uncertain what Diaz's future holds. Regardless, he will face a hard-nosed opponent in Ferguson.
Alejandro Perez
Alejandro Perez, a mixed martial artist from Mexico, is currently competing in the bantamweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The reality television program "The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America" made the Perez a household name. Perez became more interested in MMA after he won.
Perez, 33, is a Mexican national and was born on September 2, 1989. He is now 33 and competes at bantamweight. He made his UFC debut on November 15, 2014. He trains with the American Kickboxing Academy.

Melissa Martinez
Melissa Martinez is a 25-year-old Mexican kickboxer. She has been competing professionally since 2016. She has a perfect record and has been regarded as one of the best prospects in the world of mixed martial arts. Her specialty is in shock technique. She's also been trained in Muay Thai, kickboxing, and Muay Thai.
Martinez won a gold medal at the 2021 World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO) World Championship in Italy. She was also named the best female fighter at the event. She won the 2016 Pan American Kickboxing Championship as well as a silver medal in the 2017 World Games. She is also a six-time national kickboxing champion. She has a promising MMA career, and she plans to continue kickboxing competitions.
