The Women's National Basketball Association All-Star Game features the best women's basketball players from the Western Conference and Eastern Conferences. The game is broadcast live in the United States, and millions of viewers watch it each year. It is one the most watched sporting events worldwide and is a must for basketball fans.

Sylvia Fowles

Sylvia Fowles was honored to be a selection in the WNBA All Star Game. Her final season in the league is underway and she is averaging 14.9 point, 9.2 rebound, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks per match. Her team is the Minnesota Lynx and are currently on the road to the playoffs, with a record of 8-15.

Fowles, an ex-LSU star, scored a free dunk in the second quarter. Fowles was able to press Team Stewart's ball-handler for a turnover and then stole the ball and slammed it in. Team Wilson finished the game with seven point and nine rebounds.

Sue Bird

Sue Bird, a Chicago Bulls' guard, has been elected co-captain on the WNBA All-Star Team. Breanna Stewart and Sylvia Fowles will be joining her, which is their last WNBA season. The game will be played at Chicago's Wintrust Arena on July 10. It will be televised by ABC.

Sue Bird was selected as the eighth All-Star Game's winner, while Sylvia Fowles won the 13th All-Star Game. Fowles brokeaway dunk during the opening half of the game and got the crowd excited. Sue Bird was recognized by the crowd and Fowles was given a standing ovation.

Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale is a two-time NCAA champ and has been selected for her first WNBA All-Star team. She was the league's top scorer last season, and she is currently eighth in points per match for the Dallas Wings. She is expected to be an important part of Team USA's preparations for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Chicago will host the WNBA All-Star Game July 9-10. The WNBA has added special events to the Saturday night event, including a skills competition and a three-point contest. Ogunbowale is hoping to be a part the next All-Star Game. Team USA won it in the past.

Kelsey Plum

Kelsey Plum was the Aces' first WNBA All Star Game guard. She scored 30 points in defeat to Team Stewart. Despite her diminutive stature, Plum was crowned the WNBA All Star Game MVP. But, Plum's MVP trophy was dwarfed when she was presented with the NBA's Kobe Bryant All-Star MVP trophy. Cathy Engelbert, WNBA commissioner brought some humor to this event and presented Plum a new trophy at the end of the game.

Plum said she was aiming to win the MVP award. Plum made 12 field goals, took 18 shots and set an All-Star Record. At the moment she averages 19.9 per game. She will be representing the United States in 3x3 basketball at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Arike Ogunbowale's MVP award

Arike Ogunbowale was named MVP of the WNBA All-Star Game. The Dallas guard was a Notre Dame basketball player. She was the fifth overall pick at the WNBA draft. Her mother, Vanessa Bryant, was a fan of the player. Her family voted her in, so this is an extra special award.

While the 2021 WNBA all-star game saw many changes, the game remains an all star event. Ogunbowale was the lone WNBA athlete to win MVP honors. Team USA won the matchup by 93 - 85. Ogunbowale will also be able to repeat the feat in the next two years as she was selected as a reserve player for the 2022 WNBA ALL-STAR Game. The game will be televised live on ABC from Chicago.
